THTouch - Texas Holdem Poker App Reviews

I got it for free, but it is worth more than a dollar for sure. Controls are great, AI actually puts up some challenge, ton of replay value since the main values are so customizeable, I love the game. I think if you could set the chips you bet, like other reviewers stated, at the start up, like the number of players, etc., it would make easier to have high stakes game. And about the controls, they are super easy, just hold down on the screen, wait for the menu to pop up, the slide over the option you want and hold down on that a spilt second until it says "OK"... REALLY not that hard... Stop giving the app low score because you are too lazy to figure it out...

Needs instructions. Took a while to figure out how to bet, and still not really doing what I mean to. Needs buttons for call/raise and pause. Need to be able to go back and look at last hand. I swear I had a straight and other guy only had trips, but he got my money, and I cant go back to see what happened. Dont trust it now.

Disable auto deal to be able to view hands. I wish blinds didnt reset when restarting the game thats the one thing i hate about this game other then that its very good.

I really like THTouch, although I confess I have put in only a little bit of time. Im not much of a poker fan, but I do like to play when theres no real money involved. The interface took a little getting used to, but once I know the gestures it became natural for me to move through play with screen swipes. The only real issue I had was I felt the AI was a little weak. Too many times I had mediocre hands, but aggressive bidding round after round would see the computer opponents fold rather than challenge me. Given how often this happened, Im not sure it was consistently poor hands for my opponents, but it is possible I just had a long run against AI with weak hand after weak hand. I did have fun with the game, and think anyone who enjoys having card games available whenever they want to play can enjoy this. But Im not too sure how strong an opponent you will find in this game.

Multitouch support is in my experience a bit buggy, specifically recognizing the "All In" two-finger swipe; for me, its been recognized as a Check many times. Occasionally my Check double-tap is recognized as a Fold. Suggestion: A pause/playback function to examine the previous hand. The hand resolutions go by a bit too quickly for me, Id like to be able to review what happened.

Have had this app for over a yr now and it plays incredibly well and smooth. AI is also competent but after playing it for a year you start to figure them out a lot easier. I think this app is due for an upgrade though mainly to 1) fix the resetting of the blinds whenever we resume games after exiting and 2) update/modify the AI algorithms a bit if it can be done. With that said, still a fantastic poker app that i still play almost everyday.

I thought the other reviews might have been exaggerating a lil bit but I literally couldnt play the game. Shouldnt even get a cloud let alone a star...

The rough part was learning to start dealing: press center and slide left. To call, touch and slide right. To raise: touch and slide up. To fold: touch and slide down.

Its a nice game and I just wanted a casual offline texas hold em game and this was about the only one that fit the bill. With that said the game could use some improvements. I would like to see a better interface for the winning hand...something like winner written next to the winning hand (something visual that pops out and indicates the winning players location on the screen). Also it would be nice to see a graphic for when I fold...like the graphics for check or call would be sufficient. Other than that the confirming of a bet could use a solid confirmation button. The flick up and or wheel interface just feel awkward. And getting an accurate bet in is important and should not feel awkward because betting is the fun part of playing poker! :-) Hopefully well see an update with a cleaner interface. The swiping controls are easy to adjust to once youve visited the website and read up on how to do it. It would be nice to see a help menu built in, but by keeping the help menu online it keeps the overall foot print down. Cheers!

The decision wheel is a good idea, if only the guy could program it correctly. I routinely find myself betting when I try to call and fighting with the poor interface trying to bring the wheel up. Avoid.

I like this app and the interface, but its really buggy--freezes a lot, and sometimes when I close the app and come back to my game the blinds have reset at 5-10.

Horrible waist of $2.

This game is very good! It deserves more credit than some of the reviews Ive seen. If you are pondering on whether or not to buy this due to the reviews youve seen and are looking for a good Texas Holdem game, look no more! This is a fantastic app, Ive looked all over for a decent TH game that is playable offline and this is the best Ive found. It has intuitive controls that actaully make sense, contrary to some of the reviews others have made. Just a touch of the screen brings up the wheel that teaches the player the controls over time and it becomes a breeze! The gameplay is fantastic. Nice job! Highly recommend for those looking for a great Texas Holdem game at a low price! Keep it up!

Locks up and not formatted for iPhone 5 screen

Its fun and you cant always predict a bet but it freezes ALL THE TIME Lets eat! I reserved a table for 2 at UPSTAIRS 2. When: Friday, Octobers 25 at 5:45 PM PLEASE FIX BUGS! It freezes all the time and its really frustrating when you cant get your game back. Id also like to see hands for longer than one millionth of a second after game.
